anybody have problems with the exhaust clamps under the tank,mine i guess from vibration rotated and the clamp got against the tunnel and man did that make a noise i thought a main bearing was gone,i tried so shave a little off the spacer that i welded to the clamp but the noise is back so im tearing it apart again,anybody have an idea mabe a little exhaust patch on the clamp? tack weld? thanks for any info... duke

Usually the clamps rotate because the donuts (gaskets) are shot.

The clanging is due to the exhaust doughnuts being shot and those clamps are vibrating because they are bad. I would recommend placing copper doughnuts in it and call it good. It's a bit of work but sounds like you've had it apart already.

Yeah, definately get copper donuts and grind off a couple millimeters of the spacer.
