There's a lot more to it than just flipping the spindles, modding the spindles by removing material from them. I haven't done this myself.
When measuring ski alignment, I like to use the for and aft bolts from the carbide runners, or I clamp a straight edged metal bar to the spindles parallel to the skis.
I take it you didn't search for that post on Dootalk? That thread had pics explaining it.

ok so maybe not the spindles just yet, umm i didnt get a chance to look yet no,
i guess what i mean is do i messure closer to the end of the ski or more where the ball joint bolts to the spindle, cuz your distance is gonna change right depending where u messure.

toe in or out is measured from the center of the ski it's been a long time since I looked. at stock skies but there should be a small tab on the front and rear of the skies you can use. I believe that the front measurement should be 1/4"> or equal to the back measurement make sure the skies are in the air to measure and adjust. this will insure that flex in the ski bushings and suspension won't throw off your measurements. Akrider is correct in saying that shimming the skies won't fix darting caused by bump steer. however I believe the author of the post was asking how to fix darting on the trai and skimming the skies will improve that drastically. IMO anyway

I put a set of bergstrom triple points one and what a difference to the trail.
He sent the ski savers and the shims with the set. Made a major difference to the sled.
I also increased the tension on the front skid shock and reduced the tension on front shocks a little. Seemed to help as well. May not be the best powder setup but I use my sled as much on the trails as in the hills.

Run that by me again....switch spindles from left to right and that's it? =better handling?
Mine is downright dangerous to ride. On the lake I have to watch how hard I turn or else it will flip.

Just check the first page, I put a link to my post about flipping the spindles.

I'm thinking I want the concept front end now.

I have an 08 and found the darting problem to be a little scary as well. I bought a set of Woody's Dually carbide runners and could not get over the difference. Huge improvement for a minimal investment.

Worn bushings can adversely affect handling.
Measure the toe-out from the straight edge to the carbide at front of carbide and at back.Difference should be 1/8" from front to back with front being greater. Then do same for other side.1/8"+ 1/8" =1/4"toe out recheck both sides to make sure nothing moved during process.

Get some oillite bushings, NCI ball joints and have the upper ball joints machined down to the current specs. Made all the difference in the world on my 08. Tightened everything way up. Costs a little money, but it was probably one of the best mods I have done to it. Rides like it is on rails in all conditions.
