08 Phazer RTX ( With Pictures ) !!!

Peter- All I did is make a new bracket for it. I copied the original one for the holes that are needed. Take the riser off and turn it so the holes are in the back, so the screw holes are above the gas cap.

Give me your E-mail and i'll send you a pic of the back of it. It wouldn't post (To big) :4STroke: :-o

sleds on its way should be here next week sometime !!!

Pray for the white stuff to fly !!!!!!!

thanks everyone for all your input

if anyone else has any input for the gauge pod relocation feel free to through out some ideas .

Thanks Peter !

My solution is really simple! Not as good as zooks though.
Just move it down one hole on the riser and use only one bolt.

I think that you can also turn the bracket upside down, Not sure on that. I'm sure you can get creative with it.

Schmidt Bros Motorsports has a pretty cool POD Cage. Kind of like a roll-bar. You can get them in different colors and finishes. Check them out on ebay, search for store name Schmidt Bros Motorsports.

I think im going to go with zook's idea first then maybe try the others .
I really like the set up zook has and you can look at the pod while your sitting down to thats a big plus !
Thanks for the replys so far boys keep them coming :rocks:

Thanks Peter !

Post a pic when you figure out what your doing.

Bruce--

ill get some pics of the new sled when it gets here and when i do the pod ill be sure to get pics im pretty sure it is goin to look alot like yours zook !
im trying to go by the pics you sent me thanks again

Thanks Peter !

Yea, or you can turn the OEM bracket up side down to lower the gauge pod on the front side of the bars. I did this on my '07 FX. You do have to grind a little of the bracket if you want to fit the cables through the same route and keep the windshield on, but that wasn't very hard. Yamaha also sells a handle bar pad without the notch in the front of it for the gauge pod. For after you move it.

I put mine on the headlight pod, love it, can just see it sitting(with my small riser) and standing(which I do most of the time) it is exactly in line with where it was stock.
Not much to really look at while riding anyway, but for those
that "must" see whats going on, its not terrible.

ya i was thinking of that location to but i will be leaving the windshield on or be taking it off and putting it back on for my mom when she rides it so id say anywhere on the handle bars would be the best spot .

Thanks for the post might keep it in mind if i ever get tired of it on the handle bars !

Thanks Peter !
