The sled is a joy to ride. Very fast and smooth. Only put 16 miles on it today and it was fun. It handled well. I was a little worried based on some of the things I have read. I can say the sled is like a rocket!

One thing I did notice is that it smelled like burning oil. Just wondering if the dealer spilled some on the engine when they set it up. There was some steam coming off the front end under the plastic. Will watch it closely.

Hope to get some more miles tomorrow. How close did you guys follow the break-in? It was hard but I played by the book today.

I kinda Followed the Break In its hard to do hahaa. Mydealer squirted some oil in the cylinder before i took it

I sorta followed the "book" break-in, for about 70 miles, then just rode it. I never held it wide open for more than 5 seconds for 200 miles though.

The hot, stink, oil, steam, etc. is quite normal. Mine stunk to high-heaven for at least 100 miles. You'll also notice the fan running alot during the 1st 100 or so miles. A fresh tight engine makes ALOT of heat.

I didn't follow it,I let her have it from day one! 800 miles later no problems with start up or anything like it!

I ran the first 75 miles trying to keep the bursts under 7000 rpm, then another 75 miles of riding keeping the rpm burst less than 8000 rpm. Changed out the oil at 150 miles and let her have it. Everything seems all good so far. Got 300 miles on it now and it seems to be running great.

Was out again today for a bit and that sled just rocks! My 11 year old took it for a spin and he was grins all over. He rides a Phazer now. When we got home he was telling me how I will have to get a new one when he is 14. Why???? Because I can have the RTX then!

I ran the RPMs up to about 8500 for a bit and that thing just takes off. It is sooooooo smooth. Amazing machine. You can tell it is a heavy sled. You can feel it when you ride. Looking forward to going on a 100 mile day on it. We need some new snow to do that.

36 miles and counting.....come on 100 miles!
