I think this was brought up in the past but I had a situation last weekend with my Vector. It sat for a month and when I went to start it and summerize it, it took three separate 10 seconds cranks to get it to fire. At first I thought it might be flooded, so backed off the choke and held throttle wide open. But I did not smell gas, and when it fired on the the third burst of starter crank, it ran perfect like it was just lacking gas in the carbs. (What made this arduous was me putting it on the charger between cranking, just to make sure I didn't weaken the battery)
Now where I ride in northern WI all the stations are switching to 10% ethanol for 87 octane. I've been running where I can't avoid it, and I suppose the garbage gas breaks down alot quicker than non-reformulated. I put some Seafoam in it, ran it, shut if off, ran it, shut it off, about 4 times. Next day, with a 15 degree night, it fired immediately, like my old 2 strokes would. Local parts shop swears by Seafoam and if that first start was indication, it sure seemed like it made a difference in ignition.
Any comments would be appreciated.

The gas drains back in the tank on long sits, I pull the vent tube on the left side foot well and blow into and seal with my thumb pressurizing the tank. On start up the fuel runs right to the carbs and it will start like normal even after 3 months of storage. I do this on Dad's vector all the time.

I use a bottle with 2 gas lines coming out of it, I pull the 2 lines off the full pump and hook it to there it starts right up you can add seafoam or stable to the bottle and run it right in to the carbs at a high consitrat for summer storage.
