Anyone tried Super Tech 0w-30 sold by Wal-Mart ?

I was also wondering about that 1, I was looking at it last weekend its very affordable too like $24.00 +/- for 4L/jug and $6.49/1L 100% Synthetic on top of that...hummm sounds to good to be true, I bought a 1L for my snowblower I'd like to see the specs on that oil.

I'm running the 5-30 super tech. no problems, not burning any. synthetic oil exceeds specs of any conventional oil, regardless of brand. walmart is not in the oil business so their oil is supplied by a major manufacture that is. its cheaper in price because of the volume bought and sold, not because its inferior in quality.

mobil one 0-20 synthetic for over 1200 miles...starts easier and seems to spool up faster

Here's a pic of the WALMART "Tech 2000" 0W-30

It is still manufactured to a lower price point and to help achieve this lower quality (cheaper) components are used compared to a higher quality oil like amsoil. amsoil for example is way more selective on the components used in their oils........

I would never dream of putting (WAL-MART) oil in a 15,000 machine IMO. I will admit I'm not familiar with who makes what oil but for me it's just a good feeling for me to stay away from store brand oil and get something from a brand that is reputable such as Mobil-1. IMO

this topic has been done many times before.some people think that only brand name anything is the best. fact is that these sleds call for regular oil of a minimum set quality, eg. sf or sg, as well as a viscosity range. any brand of 100% synthetic exceeds all brands of regular oil, and the sled only calls for regular oil. bottom line, buy whatever you want and makes you happy.

Same way many people use FRAM filters on their cars because they think it is a big name brand. In reality they just advertise more and their filters are junk compared to the SuperTech filters sold at Walmart. Don't believe me, cut the two open and you will find out. Several years ago I cut open over a dozen different brand filters of the PH8 variety and the SuperTech's were the best for the price.
