I used Woody's Gold Diggers 1.325 and 144 down the middle and have never had a problem. I make up my own jig. I don't know if I would go with anything bigger than the 1.325

I went with the 1.40 extreme max studs. I have 1800 miles on them with no issues.

Ihave 192(1.40) on double backers. All down the center. I put a small hole in my heat exchanger. I real it was my fault doto the fact that my track was a little loose and my heat exchanger was bent.Oh ya that was after about 2200 miles. I have very few studs in poor condition

I don't know if this is because of the Expert-X or not but I installed 162 1.325" up the center on my 136" Ripsaw, and ended up pulling my track to install 1/4" X 1" alum. strips. I was pretty lucky as I only scratched the front cooler, and heat shield.
