I am going to be installing a 1.5" crossover track on my XTX very shortly. I was wondering if it would be worth dropping the top gear a tooth while I have the chain case apart. I am not too concerned with top end speed as I am going to try to ride more deep snow this year. Would this be a better option than stock gearing?
Also just curious if I need to remove all of the tunnels protectors when installing this track.
Thanks for any input!

Definately drop 1 tooth if your in a lot of deep snow as this makes everything way more efficient under load.
You need to remove the front protecters for sure.
I would also remove the tunnel protecters as it really cuts down on the ice & snow build up.

I agree with Turk, the front needs to go and the tunnel protectors are up to your own preference.
