Most of the gas stations around here are starting to post that they have 10% ethanol mixed with the gas. Does anyone know how this will effect the power and fuel mileage of my Apex. Also will this be a natural deicer for the fuel when it gets cold out like isopropyl.

1) marginally reduced power and mileage.
2) yes, there is no need for extra gas line antifreeze unless the fuel is already fully saturated.

I run the 10% ethanol, and don't really notice the difference. Granted, the conditions can be very different from one ride to the next, so for me, it's nearly impossible to tell the difference.

Better get used to it. Ethanol is being rammed down our throats. Even a local station that claims it has non-ethanol regular and premium still has some ethanol mixed in. I checked the fuel last week and the BP regular was 7% ethanol and their premium was 5%. Fortunately our 4 strokes aren't as sensitive to it as the 2 smokes that are on the guilt edge of burn down from already being leaned out for maximum power.

The most adverse effect of ethanol is it shortens the shelf life of your fuel - when you put your sled away for the summer, either drain your tank completely or add some race fuel - stabil and the Fitch devices will not stop the adverse effects of Ethanol - just some heads up!!
