Hello all, new to the board.

Got back into sledding this year in Old Forge and picked up a leftover '11 XTX for a great price. I know the skis are different between it and the '12, but I'll probably try the new Tuner's anyway. Now on to the hyfax- Looking at the Yamaha parts catalog microfiche there are not many differences. The frame is a different part #, but the required mounting holes for the wheels are in the same position between the two. The only difference seems to be the position of the front bogey wheels (wheels are same part #) and the associated mounting hardware for it.

Has anyone looked at this and relocated the wheels?

Thanks
:rocks:

a lot of guys on here have went to the bigger diameter wheel from xcell for all 6 of the lower idlers or the relocator adapter that lowers the stock wheels(can't remeber who sells those right now) and then added one or 2 of the small yamaha marginal idler wheel kits. one located at the front of the bend on the rail and one behind ther rear outside idlers , i mounted that one inwards. this worked for me and now I have good hyfax wear. ;)!

actually all the info you want on this is on the post below. ;)!

welcome ot the site and don't forget to fill in your profile.

Thanks for the feedback. It's funny how some dealers and even Yamaha didn't know if there were changes or not. Having superimposed the michrofiche from both years, the only functional difference appears to be the location of the front wheels.
The key part difference being a part called Bracket 7, in between the wheels and frame. I'm trying to make it as best I can for hyfax wear without changing everything or adding significantly more wheels.

Does anyone know the diameter of the Yamaha Marginal snow kit wheels, and where Yamaha recommends to mount them?

Hopefully moving the wheels and/or the marginal kit plus the Dupont sliders will bulletproof it.

Here's the Yamaha flyer on the small wheels for the XTX
