I'm checking out the Pioneer sway bars.. for my LTX GT.... inside ski lift is still a little anoying... but i don't want harsh ride. I actually run my preload more than 60% compressed to reduce ski lift. Should i go to 12 or 13 mm sway bar? i can reduce a lot of my preload but i want a confy ride&?

Thanks..

PS.. is it difficult to install??

;)!

I have the 13. Never really noticed any harsher ride but the sled handles way better.

i was running 13mm. Had shocks revalved and ride was harse. Put stock back in and works great. If you have rebuildable shock i would have yhem revalved. Frank at Shocktec in Drayton , Ontario has a good handle on yamaha shocks.

I had my shocks done at Hygear, with that setup the 13 makes a noticeable difference in stiffness of the ride. It also makes it a little hard to lean into a turn in deep powder.
I rode 500mi with the 12 then 500mi with 13. I put the 12 back in. It definitely handles flatter with the 13. I pulled my limiter strap down one hole and run zero preload on the front shocks that seems like a good combo for me.

If you're going to get a larger sway bar, get the 13mm. We're talking mm here, not centimeters. It's not a huge difference. I put in the 13 and didn't notice a drastic difference, but it does help more than it hurts. I have fox floats on the front though. I run them at 55 psi and weigh about 190 in the buff. It says to lower your psi when installing the 13, but I do jump the sled, so I won't go any lower than that psi no matter what. Install is two 10mm and two 12mm nuts/bolts. Doesn't take long at all. Make sure to keep the alignment between the old and new the same. I just lined up the hash marks on the new sway bar with the openings on the control arms and all was good. No hash marks on the factory sway bar.
