Hi all, bought a 2015 ltx dx and was wondering if this sled has the 2 pin connector by the oil tank? I searched the site and found a pick just not sure if it's on the 2015. If so is the 12 volt power and ground and is it a fused circuit? Thanks you, Mike

yes, it is 12 volt power and it has a fuse in the line. BTW, if the fuse blows, you lose the tail lights and the dash display. So make sure whatever you connect isn't likely to have a short. If you're trying to add a helmet plug, search the forum for many pictures and advice.

THis is the only reason I am considering a fuse relocate as I understand it you have to remove the hood if you blow the fuse to get at it. Not happening on the trail for this cowboy.

correct-amundo. Guess how I know...

Anyway, I did the fuse relocation, and it was easy. Took about an hour. There is a very recent thread about it, and you can do it without buying a kit or any special parts.

This is totally unacceptable! Next mod is to run the accessory outlet direct to the battery. Fused of course. What were they thinking?!

It has a fuse in line, so nothing will be broken. If the dash goes out, you can still ride. It won't leave you stranded... you just can't tell how fast you are going. They have only a few fuses on these machines so they combined circuits... perhaps not in the best way. I assume the electrical system is an AC setup, not a Yamaha setup, so you can talk to your dealer about it!
