1200 doo vs nytro

Nice follow up TVB! I have always been a Yammi guy, the only reason I went to the F7 was $9200 with a 2 year warranty...Apex was $12200...a no brainer and it's a good sled ( I'll miss the top end speed ) but after riding the Nytro...I knew I wanted back on a Yammi !

Miss the top end??? That's what I thought but my XTX is as fast as my old F7...I've seen 112mph GpS this year

See this post: http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php? ... hlight=gps

Top speeds of the 1200 gade seem to be in the low, maybe a few mid, triple digits.

I'm skeptical any stock XTX is doing 112 mph gps?? Anybody else seeing those types of numbers?

You need to read Daranellos post..his XTX is pulling great top speed.

Daranello, the Nytro I was going to buy was getting around 104 at best..my F7 was running 114 on a crappy day..so I would definitly miss the top end..however I'm trying to get away from it and just want a beast to 1000ft...your XTX's top speed is impressive..who knows, maybe I'll change my mind and pick on of them up.

From what most people have said who have owned both, the 121 and XTX. The consensus seems to be that the XTX is 4-6mph faster than the 121". Some even faster. Yamaha said it was 1-2mph faster, but they were obviously being very conservative.

I've riden both, but have not had extended time on the 1200.

Nytro motor is harder hitting and makes it a better ditch banging motor by far.

XP frame is better for cornering on trails, it just handles flater no question.

Nytro sitting position and bar height (I'm 6,0') is definitely a more aggressive position and loves to be whipped around.

XP sitting position is more comfortable for longer days.
I still love taking my 08 rtx on week 10 hours a day trips, but th xp is more comfortable.

If I were to get a new sled today though. I'd go with the XTX or the SE Tough call.

Yamaha's motor is going to give you more trouble free hours with out a doubt. The rest of the sleds reliability ie the frame either who is worse doo or yam is up for debate.

If I can get 4-5 years out of this motor I will bleed blue for a while. Or untill one lets go.

Ya I saw those vids, do you realize you held it for close to a minute...I wonder how far you actually travelled. My buddy and I held our sleds open for 5200ft doing top speed runs ( an F7 and an XP8 ) I doubt we held it that long time wise...thank god it's a 4stroke Yammi or she mighta went boom...nice speeds Daranello!
