Got a skid from a Phazer 144, should bolt right in... it didn't. Had to compress the rear shock with a ratchet strap in order to get the rear skid bolts in place. Everything else went great. Something looks wrong with the front of the skid and I cant figure it out. The skid was partially in pieces when I bought it, and had some parts missing that I have since replaced (yes there aren't many idler wheels but thats not affecting fitment)
Any ideas?? As you can see sitting level, the rear shock is over 50% compressed, and there is almost zero rebound damping

The rear shock looks too high where it meets the center shock, It's possible that one of those linkages is flipped?

the shock eye at the rear should be on top of that shaft. looks like the dots on the aluminum dog bone and the steel shaft they go on are not lined up properly.

Yep. The entire rear torque arm is up-side-down. Flipping it over will move the upper shock mount to where it should be. The torsion spring perches (low/med/hi blocks) are also on the wrong side, which has me thinking the torque arm is up-side-down.the shock eye at the rear should be on top of that shaft. looks like the dots on the aluminum dog bone and the steel shaft they go on are not lined up properly.

you are right turtle. also the rear tranfer limiter is missing in the pic. makes for wicket wheelies but i do not like it.
pick of mine when i made it into a 144.

Thanks guys! So obvious now!
I have no idea why it was like that. I bought it from a guy and then slammed it in, I guess I should have checked it over closely!!
Also maim did you use your FX rear shock?
The weight transfer blocks are gone. 100% backcountry riding it's way better this way. My phazer has never seen a trail in 8 years, even ditches are a rare occasion!
Anyway thanks for all the input!

Guys,
Also curious, once I flip that torque arm over... how do you tell where to put the skid mounting brackets on the splined shaft? I see no markings, and of course mine is bass-ackwards
thanks

They are just an extension of the arm itself. So the setting that is straight as possible.Guys,

there is a dot on the end of the shaft and a dot on the aluminum link(across from the side with the pinch bolt and slot) they line up.

Got it all fixed up today. Thanks for all the help guys
Also wondering, the thin washer @ the aluminum link holding the rear of the skid in.... where does it go?
