the tornado is not the product the original poster is referring to, it is a joke.
the tornado does not work, it's just a gimmick.

the comparison was intended to be a joke because the original poster never gave up any info on the mystery device. someone else linked to the tornado and this whole thread got treated as a joke

Exactly!

But seriously, I would buy something like he described if it preformed as claimed.

Tornado?

I will also say this...I saw it in action for the 1st time this Monday night, on 2 Superflow dyno's, installed on two Genesis 1000s

The bike motor (neatly installed and completely out of view on the bike and tested on a wheel dyno) and the sled motor!

It increased the power of the bike motor by nearly 16hp at peak and the sled motor I saw an average of ~13hp.

No back yard operation here either...these guy's have money and intend to make money with this product...on cars, bikes, ATVs, sleds etc. They have 4 Superflow crankshaft dynos and 2 wheel dynos for cars and light trucks and bikes!

The product will be advertised nationally for Auto's and bikes since these are the two strongest markets for this product.

I just wanted to give you all a heads up...since I pushed the issue of Yamaha 4-stroke snowmobiles as one of the applications that will be sold to.

However, I will not sell them or have anything to do with this venture...I'm just putting the word out and I will have a kit on my own Apex for sure.

Dealer opportunities for sleds are a definite!

Anyone interested?

Looks like something that was designed for carburated engines in cars and trucks that used to go between the carb and manifold. I doubt it will work on a fuel injected snowmobile motor.
And it doesnt look like its worth anything near $500 to $600. I'd invest in an aftermarket muffler or put the money towards a complete exhaust system.

Once again....the link provided was a JOKE. The Tornado is NOT a $500 product, and is NOT the product proposed by the original poster...

That said, everything you say above is absolutely correct...the Tornado will not work at all on our Apex's.

My, my, my, Moose...what confusion you have caused!!! :jump:

Sorry for any confusion....: :hide: Just some light hearted humor since its summertime, hot outside and no snow....

Thank GOD for summer sports....

Well this unit if it does work must give the engine more available air or forces air into the engine for it to work. Another guess would be that it takes nitrogen out of the air and increases the amount of oxygen to the engine.

Old saying.."You get what you pay for", we'll see. It's amazing how many "snake oil" companies are out there feeding off of our pay checks. Sometimes things do come around and prove to be the real deal. Typical sales tactic though...throw something out there the customers are willing to believe, create urgency, inflate results, set a secret release date....Bamm, you have just set the hook! That being said, I'd be one of the 1st to buy if it indeed works!

Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I can see is a bad infomercial:

"If you order now, we will double the HP on your Apex or Attak for the low, low price of $559.00. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE, the first 100 orders, include a free hand warmer upgrade and a skid with removable grease zerks. All you pay is $500.00 for shipping and handling - SUCKER! :jump:

Why dont we all wait and see what it is before passing judement. Could be snake oil but then again it could be the real thing. Turbocharging works and was a new fangled technology at one time. This could very well be another technological break through or a rip off but we should at least let it debut before we start putting the product down. Velcro works and the guy got the idea from walking in tall grass and then picking all the stuff stuck to his socks. Give it some time and until then keep the uncalled for negative stuff to yourself.
