Dana, the washers are for a proaction skid, I believe.

I am confused maybe LB can shed some light here Is the links the heims that connect to the a-arms to the splined (link ?) that attaches to sway bar
I have the longer square links splined that attach`s from bar to heims I just want to make this clear on what we r talking about cause in my opinion it would be the heims end

Brian, I have not had my new RX on snow yet to confirm anything yet, but from what I know you hit the nail on the head with your comment about how you have to drive it in and out of the corner. You cant drive these sleds into a corner like you do a 2 stroke. Instead, drive it like you would a bike or a car into the corner getting off the gas (no break) at the decel point and then get back on it in the apex of corner. The engine breaking and natural torque will help hold the sled. Again, I may be speaking out of turn here as I have not honestly rode my sled yet, but given my time spent on bikes and in cars, I feel good about this being important.

Now I am really confused. I thought we were talking about the front end steering, not the skid. HELP?

The magazines are still telling about the ski lift, and a heavier bar solves the problem. What the heck is wrong with Yamaha? Don't they do any testing to find the right bar? One of our guys solves a problem that Yami can't. Nice going.

I installed a Pioneer 12mm bar, his straight rate spring (2.0?), and the longer links. I was also running doo skis. It was great.

The question is, with the 05 RX1, do you need to change the springs and skis as well. Does anyone have any experience with the bar only. I believe the warrior has stiffer springs than the shorty.

Welterracer thanks for the feedback! I have been looking for something like this to help my Warrior handle better around corners. I ordered mine today! ;)!

Bob... Dont forget to do the Washer trick also... removed the lower transfer rod arm washers and replace them with ones that are HALF as thick!!

Welterracer where exactly are these washers located? Is the lower contol arm attached to the sway bar? Are these special washers that have to be ordered from Yamaha?
THANKS!! ;)!

It goes like this... The A-arm connects to the dog-bone, the dog-bone connects to the links, the links connect to the swaybar.

Across all years the dog bone is unchanged. Links and bar are changed from 03 to 04.

Is the A-Arm and the lower control arm one and the same? Where do these washers go and are they a special washer that has to be ordered?
