Did LOTS of reading on this site. Can't seem to get a consensus. Does the 13MM Pioneer Sway bar give a harsher ride in the uneven bumpy trails? Some say it does others say ride is unchanged. All say it corners flatter. Some say its for the extreme aggressive rider, some say it should be on everyones sled.

The posts I did read were mainly from 06-07 so people have had lots of miles since then to generate their opinion.

What does everyone think?

Have bar on 06 RTX and SE and ride mostly groomed trails....hard to tell any difference in ride harshness, but will definately corner flatter

The thing I notice the most is if you go angled up onto a bank, you really need to be prepared, the sled is not boing to side hill into that bank, it is going to try to push you off the bank. Once you know it, you can lean alot more or just dont put yourself in that position. the cornering is alot better. Ride is a bit harsher if one ski hits a rise and the other doesn't but I wouldn't take it off.

I found that running low air pressure for smoother ride in the stutters produced to much lean in the corners. If you have fox floats IMHO add nextech resis and 13mm sway bar. If youy have regular shocks the stock or 12 mm is plenty.

X2 you will notice a slightly harsher ride like beth says but its worth it for the cornering benefit!

It's definitely a harsher ride. If you've got Snowtrackers, you do not want a 13mm swaybar. This combination will be brutally harsh. A buddy had this combo and removed the 13mm bar after the first ride. Hated it.

But on a long turn at 70-80mph its a great combo.
On small corner also. If you dont have too much weight on skis its #1.

Ok, I'll bite, why do the snowtrackers intensify the ride?

It like three skates attached to each ski. They are narly looking. I dont know why the sway bar would effect this but have no experience to say either way.

Thanks for all the info thus far. Great site. Came over from the darkside (Dootalk!!). Tired of all the 800 doo's blowing up.

Keep the posts comin!!!

I can't really explain why, but I think a tech from Snowtracker or someone on this site, even warned my buddy again it before he went and did it anyway. As I mentioned, he absolutely hated it and put his 11mm bar back on immediately.

I wasn't a fan of it either. I am running the 12 mm bar right now but I think I may go back to the 11mm bar.
