140 Miles on Attak

Finally got to ride my new sled. Raco had about two feet of powder. I previously rode a 04 Warrior for two years. There is no comparison between the two sleds. The throttle response on the Attak is incredible. The ride is great - no outside ski lift. Also, the rider position allows to stand and ride bumps effortlessly.

If I have one issue - I did bottom the skid a few times on big bumps. After I have a few more miles on it, I will have to make adjustments. How difficult is it to adjust the mono-shock skid compared to the pro-action? Any suggestions on adjustments. I weigh 200 pounds with gear and ride power lines aggresively.

How much do you weigh with Gear? I'm around 250 with gear. I already added the heavier spring. That might help.

Other wise there is a Click adjuster on the Shock you can increase or decrease the preload on the Spring in the rear. You should have gotten a Spanner wrench to make the adjustments.

Did you try stiffening the shock with the tunnel adjuster?

I have not made any adjustments yet. I plan on putting on a few more miles before doing so. I am just wondering what other people are doing. I may need to upgrade to the heavier spring if it continues to bottom after tightening up the suspension.

Did you adjust the dial at all? I weigh 185 without gear and could ride my 05 mono on the 4th most soft setting and would only bottom the suspension out on really big bumps. Mr Sled had his set on the 5th softest setting and he did have the heavier spring installed. I know this is on the 121" version of the mono, but I am guessing that you must have change the setting to really soft to have bottomed out the suspension.

The trick on the 121" version is to set it as soft as you could where it would bottom out occasionally, then switch it back one notch toward hard.

Where did you buy your sled? Chippawa Motors in the Soo.? How were your hand warmers? If they were cold, go and talk to the dealer because I already had. I bought my sled from Richard. We need more people to tell the dealer what the problems are.
