Yeah I know its hard to believe.....I wanted to post my happyness for switching to BLUE, I have original hyfax on and have no bending issues, my sled always starts, it gets respectable MPG's, its a total blast to ride, it handles bumps way better now with some adjustment, it turns ok but I am still adjusting that, it turns heads every time we pass ANYONE, its has perfect ergo's, and I rode a XPR 1200 Sunday and HATED IT! so overall I am pleased, is still room for improvment....... hell yes, do I like to improve/add cool stuff.......yes, is this sled for everyone.......nope.

I just hope everyone who is have issues see's the potential this machine has and dosent give up, or relizes they bought the wrong sled and finds something better suited for them.

I was affraid to ride this thing at first(hearing about all the potential issues) and a blown belt at 300 miles had me second guessing but now I know I made the right decision.

I have to agree, it takes a while to get this sled figured out, but once you do, it rocks.

I have rode a lot of new sleds and for my riding style, the Nytro was the right choice! :yam:

Glad to hear you're lovin your ride! You've got it lookin really good too!! I must say that I'm also lovin my XTX. It is by far the most fun sled I have ever owned, bar none! There are some tweaks to make to try and rectify certain things but I can honestly say for the way I ride I'm not having near the issues that some people are claiming to have. Different for everyone I guess. Like you said, the ergos are perfect and the motor is absolutely intoxicating!!! Be safe and ride hard! ;)!

Hey Stopdropnroll

Glad to hear your happy with your XTX. I just made the leap from Arctic Cat to Yamaha and purchased the Nytro XTX. I love this sled. The engine is amazing. My only concern is handling in the twisty trails. Any suggestions for setting up my suspension for improved cornering. Remember I'm a newbie to Yamaha

Thanks,

Gman

Well there is a ton of info on this site....too much for me to list, I believe there is a sticky for settings on the top of this forum, but the normal stuff I guess, ski's, studs, and knowing how the adjustments afect the sled (comp.-rebound-limiter strap-spring pre-load ect). I too came from a lifetime of Cat and am happy, I wouldnt say I would never own anything but Yamaha but for now I am staying BLUE, but maybe a TZ1 2-up next year for a 2nd sled!

Got about 1200 on mine and I would have to agree. A few tweaks here and there and I am pretty happy with mine. With the other offerings out there, I don't see any of them being more reliable and fitting my riding style better. The little problems here and there are minmal in my eyes- I think some people make too much of them. The subframe issue I can't comment on yet. I have hit a tree and found no damage so maybe I lucked out. Even so- after looking at the area- it does look like it could handle being beefed up. Maybe this summer....

The Doo guys I ride with are seeing the blue light this year.
They can't seem to figure out why I end up so far ahead and fresh as a daisy.
Sure if you are ahead you don't have snow dust to deal with.
But I tell them it is easy when you don't have to think about your motor getting cooked across a lake or long rail line.
I've had many a 2-stroke over the years and know that a lasting motor is one that is not full wide open for too long.
(I'm waiting for them to show up with a 4-tec next year.)
The XTX is very cool once you spend a few bucks more.

I just switched from Doo Renegade 800R to the XTX. I like the shock setup better and the sound of the 4 stroke is awesome. So is not having to buy 2 stroke oil. Handling on the trails is another story. I had my gade dialed in when I traded it so now I am learning another language on the Yammie. A lot more body english and the ski's (4 inch carbides) kinda suck but have the fun is dialing in another sled.

GREAT TO SEEOMETHING POSITIVE I LOVE MY NYTRO TOO unfortunetyl it lloooks like my season may be coming to a close with 40 and rain forcasted In baldwin MI im not sure that we have enough winter left to rebuild enough to ride only 750 miles this yea :o| :o| :o| :o| :o| :4STroke: :4STroke: :4STroke: r

XTX is a great sled, but we must all take the time to set up the suspension, find the right carbide and dress it up to make or own sled that fits us best.

I love my XTX and would not want any other sled or brand for that matter. Every time I have someone ride my xtx I have to ride there sled. Which you would think I would hate, and I do. But it also makes me appreciate my xtx that much more. I get on theirs (kind does not mater) and I fell like I am on a 76 rupp like when I was a kid. I get on and I am like how can you ride somethings this backward and old. I have been waiting for yamaha to make this sled for 6 years so my expections were very very high. It was like yamaha came to me and asked what do you want in a snowmobile and made it become reality. Is it perfect? Heck no. Is it close? Hell ya. This sled makes me want to ride and ride and ride. I get mad when time is up and I have to go home. Thinking on the way home when the next time I can get off work to ride again. I run Simmions flex ski gen 1 and Bergstrom Skegs that are 3x8" on one side of the ski and 3x6" on the outside of ski. Thats 42" of carbide runner per ski and 84" of carbide runner total for both skis. I know some will think that is crazy but don't hate things you have not tried or know about. I run 122 studs and am still dialing in the supension but right now this thing rocks!!! I can rail with the set up now and it only get better the more I experiment. I dont even know that it is a 144" and I can kill any sled in the thight twistys and just have a blast burnning new trails all with no down fall. I just can't stop ridding and laughing at how fun this sled is. I fell less sore and tied and ride twice as hard and twice as long as before the xtx. I switch the handwarmers for RSI set-up and my hands are now hot and happy. Does it suck to have to fix and change handwarmers for ones that work on a new sled. Yes. Does it suck more knowing that they knew the problem was there and did nothing and my old yami's could cook a hot dog in five minutes. Yes. Do I care, not really. I just got back from a great trip in the U.P. and three guys out of ten went packing in the first day due to motor burn up 2ski-doo and one polaris. Mine ran perfect and only wrenching I did was to make some changes to the suspension and have fun. I dont drive 10 hours to work on a sled or drink in a bar. For some guys that is the makings of a great trip. Meanwhile I am running through 5 foot of snow and railing in the corners with now problems. Yamaha makes a great sled always has. Yamaha makes a really great four stroke. Is there things that i would or will or did change, yep I do that with everything I own.

Happy with the XTX? Happy enough. I haven't dumped it. I figure I'll mod it a little more to continue making it into what I want. Then I'll ride it for a couple of years, and then move on to the next cool sled. I don't love my XTX, I'm just having a temporary affair with it. That's all it was ever intended to be.
