I've played with the limiter strap, all depends what you ride on. If fields, I'd let it out, on trails I would almost suck it in. I think I have mine in one hole from stock. I went with the stingray, I won't consider anything else since it was reasonably priced, available, and works well. My honest opinion is that there is not enough room under there for a dual rate to work with people our size, I'm roughly 260 with gear

Kuzzy is your limiter in the middle hole (stock position) or the top (tightest) or bottom (loosest). What setting or how many turns are you on your stingray spring.

I just checked and my straps are all the way in, so I am set up for tight trails. Can't remember where I'm at on the stingray spring, but I think I may have gained a few pounds from last year and am going to give the spring another half turn (my steering had been heavier than I Remeber this year). I may move the limiter strap up one hole as well. I was hesitant on giving my setup, the reasons are that it is super fruitful to do the testing yourself to see what you like and what works. My terrain and snow type/conditions are likely very different than what you ride, never mind our styles of riding. Always keep the spring backup nut just snug enough so that you can adjust on the trail, you may want a quick adjustment or your sled may accumulate a ton of ice and you may need to adjust it.Kuzzy is your limiter in the middle hole (stock position) or the top (tightest) or bottom (loosest). Thanks for the info. I will definitely test out my own and adjust its just nice to hear others opinions. What do you run for skis and carbides? Have you tuned your front shocks at all. I love the 2020 xtx se for sure. i do still have a 17 xtx se 141 it is a great sled too but the 2020 is sweeter. My both are td tuned sleds.

I run the stealth ski, I love it but there are draw backs, there is no keel to part snow, so it sprays snow all over the sled skid, awesome for lubricating the track, but it builds up ice on the tunnel quicker.....stock skiis are capable but after 3 years on a btx, I always wondered why others would change out skiis, so curiosities got the better of me and I tried out a couple options, the CA pro skiis were not a good choice for the 2020 xtx unfortunately, just terribly heavy steering. Thanks for the info. Front qs3 are usually on 2 setting and I backed the front springs off as much as I felt comfortable (so the keepers don't fall out). I have the eco trail, but I'm looking at the full bundle of tunes, even tho I really just want sm16.

Kuzzy, have you done anything with your torsion springs? What position are you running im considering buying the barn of parts 4 position adjuster for an extra setting if needed. Just an fyi my qs3 in the skid leaked out the nitrogen already. apparently its a common issue. The caps leak the have better ones with Schrader valve now. Im getting mine all checked and new caps and oil changed. My sled is around 2400 miles.

This might sound like a stupid question but how did you know that the nitrogen leaked out. I’m not impressed with the ride in the back of my 22 XTX. It’s not bad until you really mess it and it bottoms out. I’m considering the heavy spring option or maybe looking into an Elka replacementKuzzy, have you done anything with your torsion springs? With my qs3 i noticed the 3 position switch had no detent the selector was just loose. I noticed that when i tried to adjust it because it was soft and bottoming some. After reading online and then called a shock repair shop it seems like a pretty common issue. It also sounds like qs3 shocks should be checked and oil changed every 1500-2000 miles.

i have the rear shock on setting 2, and the torsions are on the middle setting i believe. If you can get the barn of parts one for a decent price i would say go for it, i upgraded mine to some billet ones because i lost one of the plastic ones last year. just getting rid of the plastic ones that the nut strips on is upgrade enough lol, adding another height isnt the end of the world either.Kuzzy, have you done anything with your torsion springs? I will check the rear shock, i havent touched it this year at all, i am more of a set it and forget it kind of rider
