I was reading in the FAQ post and came across this thead. Has anyone tried it yet? I think it has something to do with the Secondary spring.
Any info is great...

what's it do...does it work?

The white(Attak) secondary spring slows the upshift to raise rpm,s. Your sled will have better throttle response & feel faster but in reality your slowing the upshift & losing in acceleration.

How can slower acceleration feel faster?

You have tested this and know this for sure on the Apex with all variables being equal?Turk said:The white(Attak) secondary spring slows the upshift to raise rpm,s. Your sled will have better throttle response & feel faster but in reality your slowing the upshift & losing in acceleration.

Me? Test clutching???? I never test anything???? You are gaining rpm,s by slowing down the upshift in the secondary....not the proper way to tune. To get the sled to hit target rpm,s if it is underrevving you should
Lighten the primary weights
Run a stiffer primary spring
Run a shallower helix
usually in that order.
When the apex hits 1000 miles it will be right in the sweet spot for rpm,s anyway.

lighten primary weight or more total spring force..
that's right ...tune the primary(leads the dance)...the secondary is a torque sensing device
(follows the dance)
what's the stock helix angles on an attak?

anyone try a shallower exit angle with success?

A 50/40 Dalton style works well until you get about 1k miles. This is why I bought the Shockwave helix. I can shallow it out for break in & gradually increase the angles until sled reaches full rpm,s after 1000 miles.
