I agree. I went 160 Kms without holding it over 6000 for long periods. It was kinda tedious but, I could still get 80 mph. And I broke the sled in one day. 500 miles. Works great. Now that I lightend the clutch weights

Hey Joe, i have the same sled as you with MPI trail and Ulmer clutch kit. Im only shifting at 8200 and not really happy so far. Comes out of the hole good but not pulling that hard. My weights are 3-0-3 and not sure what angle the ulmer helix is. Its a 137 with 1.25" and i only got 30 km on so far. Maybe i need to be more patient and get some km on before i try switching up clutching. What gearing did you go to and what is your clutching setup? My sled has a trail turbo. I geared it taller then stock.
Thanks

I'm trying to tune my sled in too. I'm shifting at 8200 also. I can't get much more. Ulmer told me to lighten the weights so I did. I'm at 2-0-2. I also raised the belt in the secondary.Hey Joe, i have the same sled as you with MPI trail and Ulmer clutch kit. Im only shifting at 8200 and not really happy so far. Changing the weights didn't seem to do anything. At first I thought it did but at wot it's still strogling to see 8250.
I'm new to clutching , but I'd like to try something different.
Did you change your gearing?

My gearing is stock. I wonder if the Ulmer helix is a bit too steep till everything gets broke in better? Im going to lighten the weights up 2-0-2 see if i see a difference.
Do you have any gauges A/F, Boost?

Run it hard all through the rpm range just no sustained redline...also do not overheat.
This is how I did mine. I changed the fluids after 300 miles and run her anyway I want after that.

I ran gauges on my sled for the first 500 miles. Then my gauge broke. But it was all within spec.My gearing is stock. I wonder if the Ulmer helix is a bit too steep till everything gets broke in better? Im going to lighten the weights up 2-0-2 see if i see a difference.
