Hey all,
A buddy of mine is looking at a new 16' 141" Viper. He's coming from a Ski-Doo.
Aside from what I have read about the chain case leak on the 2016s along with the rubbing of the skid and drivers, is there anything else to be aware of when he goes to look at it?
Thanks in advance!

What skidoo is your friend coming from? if you guys ride alot of trails your friend might get the wrong taste of the viper because of the 141 uncoupled skid. It's not for everyone.
Other then that, possibly look to see if it is the old engine or new.... Only matters if he plans to boost it

I love my 16' XTX and the way it handles the trails; I came from a 137" LTX, and I honestly prefer the 141". I have Mohawks and Bergstrom triple points that really match up well with the XTX, and hold great in the corners. The XTX just seems to be better "planted" than the 137"; whether it is the uncoupled suspension or the longer track with bigger lugs, it seems to accelerate better and never seems to "fishtail". The only issue I have had with my XTX was the "rubbing" until I dropped the skid into the lower holes.

love my 16XTX on the trails. I ditch bang a bit, I like to play in the drifts but 80% of the time I ride trails. I was the one who solved the rubbing issue and aside from having my rods changed I have not had an issue. I love my sled so much that I will be looking into adding a 141 Sidewinder next year and passing mine down to my son.
