Yes. No matter how I move it front or back. It hits. Hygear has my whole skid at the moment. They are working on a solution as well. They are in as much disbelief as me!!
I believe in the sled that arm would be way forward when compressed compared to your picture. It might just clear.

That shock looks like it is the wrong one. If you go to the US site and watch the video of the LE models at around the 1:26 mark is a picture of the rear skid with the shock and the evol on it. The evol tube is on the top of the shock and would not hit anything.

Notice that is the mountain sled. There are no inside bogy wheels. Or it's the 141 w no lower inside bogy wheels. This I understand is very common on mountain sleds not to run all those bogies.

Not sure. The video at that point in time is about the XTX-LE however you are right it has not bogey wheels. The picture I posted clearly shows it on top. Maybe they have edited together two different sled pictures.
I guess that main point is that if the MTX gets the evol on top and really the only difference underneath is the length of the rails and skid, then they should be the same shock. Unfortunately the parts fiche's on line don't show the 2016 XTX or the MTX. I have one coming but not here so I cant even look.
If you look at the 2015's MTX LE and XTX LE it shows that it is the same shock.

Ok. Looking at the video it's hard to tell if the shock is on top or the side. But you're right maybe I just got the wrong shock. I appreciate your help. My dealer is also looking into it. I don't know what I would do wo all you fellow sledders on this site!!

8JR-G7480-30-00. Not sure what the difference is. But as u said. This shock is used in mountain sleds as well and it looks like the darn evol is on the side!!

Never mind. Answered my own question. The 15 didn't have evol or rebound

Looking closely at the picture you posted, it looks like the evol chamber is on the right side of the shock. Notice how the white color band disappears behind the evol chamber? If the evol chamber was on top, you would see the edge of the color band as it wraps over the shock. Also upper side of the shock body is blocked from view by evol chamber. If chamber was on top, lower part of evol chamber would be blocked from view behind shock body. I thinks it's definately on the side of the shock in that photo. Not sure. I don't think there would be room to mount it on top as track slap would destroy the evol chamber on compression as the shock lays down moving the evol chamber closer to the track.
Glad somebody caught this before a bunch of new XTX-LE owners started trashing evol chambers. Hopefully Yamaha will get it resolved before guys start breaking stuff.

Yes ansd again if the chamber was on top there would be no way to hook the pump up to add air pressure
