16 xtx le. Rear evol will hit idler!!

If it were on top then flipped it around it might work. Then the evol would be on top but at the bottoms side of the shock
Only concern that I see then would be that the larger shock body (at the evol chamber end) might then hit the lower bracket arm (where the shock eye mounts) on full compression.

ATTENTION ATTENTION. We have a fix!!!!! Yamaha tech line got back to my dealer. There WILL be a service bulletin out to fix this.
............ It will say......... Take off the bogie wheel. Hahahahaha. So it will be like the mountain sled set up we saw in the posted pictures . That's it in a nutshell gentlemen. If you know anyone w this sled set up please pass the word before they ride for the first time. One good hit and you're DONE!!!

On a side note. As I mentioned prior. My skid is with Ross and the boys at Hygear right now. They are using my skid for experimentation. Through fox they have a few different style body caps that will still keep the rebound adjustment and evol but will position it in different locations around the body of the shock. This will hopefully accomplish 2 things. 1. Still be able to keep the boggies. 2. More importantly, be able to use Hygear prolink set up. We will know in about a week. Thank you everyone for all your help. I'll keep you updated.

You don't need no stinkin Bogies! Surprising that the update will not come with a sawzall to remove bogie:o| Brings new meaning to back door engineering, I always said the XTX had toooo many bogies!

ah more like a normal Yamaha:jump: surprised that they did not tell you to reinforce that area of hyfax with racers tape

No kiddin. Excuse me sir. May I borrow some duck tape?!?! Like Dog said. Now we r into true Yamaha fashion.

Thats much better news than them telling you to take the evol chamber off

Slides wear like iron on the Vipers. Nothing like the days of old.

The fact is nobody at YAMAHA or FOX did some test ride (r&D ) on this exact model as we ALL can see!!!

Its good product but does'nt fit well .......direct from factory
Me i would not be happy of my " limited Edition"
I am speachless about yamaha tech line, is it a joke? are they stupid ? dont give #*$&@ about their customer? Lack of knowledge?
Even if ist very good suspension for hyfax wear,i think for hi- speed trail riding, on hard pack trail you will need those wheel's. For those are always riding backcontry its another story !

On the pic #2 under your left thumb, The rebound will rub inside the track to ! On yamadog picture theres nothing there!

I checked my new XTX and it is set up the same way. Guess I'll remove those extra wheels.

You are our perfect test subject. If you want to test it. Drop the pressures and have someone sit on it slowly to watch and see if it hits!!! Let us know. Take some pics. Then. Take off the wheels. Or at least the one wheel

It's interesting how the EVOL shock from Yamaha is different than the one that comes from Fox. I understand the one from Fox has the Kashima coat, but the placement of the EVOL chamber is different.
