Where are you guys getting the replacement hyfax for the Apex Mtn?
Have not replaced them yet. I always drop the scratchers anytime I'm on the trail so at 1300 miles there in great shape. When it comes time to replace them I will put oem back on. Eric

Do you use scratchers that mount on the skis or the ones on the side of the skid? Seems like the side mounted ones wouldn't lube the front part of the slides.........

TY 4 Stroke Master
I ordered Hyperfax's from MPI . Mine were gone in less than 300 miles

My oem's lasted 1300 miles, no scratchers. I now use hyperfax, from slp

But if you're gonna get a pair of hyperfaxes you'd better hurry. Last season "everyone" sold out early, and this probably will happen this year too...

3 sets of hyfax here
this is my first yami since 1992 bought a 06 MTN Apex run 800 miles on three sets, I have run thousands of miles on cats and never replaced a set of hyfax (usually sell around 2000 miles)
I currently have aftermarket hyfax on now, they work great, no issues and now have 1800miles on.
Love the sled, however Yamaha warranty SUX!
in 800miles I wore three sets of oem hyfax and peeled the drivers to a point! Not sure but I think they use chocolate for these things. no warranty on these items.
I would love to buy another Apex this year but hard to justify one of the most expensive sleds out now, then have to change the hyfax, drivers and track (HATE the Maverick)
my 2 cents
by the way at 800miles put a stage 2 s/c on, love the power

Re: 3 sets of hyfax here
Same problem Here,My fix is to add internal wheels and scratcher's and tigthen up the track to less than 1"@ 22lbs,My concern with hiperfax is the open track with a clip in every hole, if you don't wear the slides maybe you will destroy the clips,in that case your bill will be allot more than slides.By the way Yamaha has Pay for everything including the drives.
