He just wondering if I can get honest opinions on clutching for the MPI trail kit turbo!!
Of course we have very little snow now so I have too much time on my hands...lol!!
I installed a mpi turbo trail kit with the Yamaha clutching that came with kit..
I only have 200km since install and i am liking the yamaha clutching (nice and smooth take off and can move around slow when needed...
In your honest opinion is it worth going with a aftermarket clutch kit with the turbo? Or is the Yamaha clutching just as good?
What would be the difference in I switch to a aftermarket clutching???
Thanks
Marc

I'm not a clutching Guru, so perhaps others will chime. But I'm wondering if you would benefit with a dual angle helix? I'm in the same kinda boat right now. Deciding if it's worth trying different clutching or not. I have a different helix than you currently. Hopefully others chime in!

Never tried the stock clutching. Ordered an Ulmer/MPI kit before sled even arrived. Put on an 8DN from mile zero. It has been spot on with Allan's recommendation for settings.

I'm pretty sure the "Yamaha stock clutching" is the MPI/Ulmer kit.

The MPI turbo kit did not come with any clutching when it was new. The MPI kit has washers that are screwed in. The springs are also red.

The ones shown are not the same cams.

I'm hitting 8700/8800 rpm wot with my current set up
