Im reading that yamaha doesnt change the clutching with the sea level , trail turbo that they are offering with the spring power surge.
Do i need to change the clutching? i plan on getting the dealer the change the gearing while they are installing the turbo, any recomandations on what gear combination to go with?

The 21/41 XTX gearing seems popular, but at this point the gearing avenues are just beginning to be explored. I might suggest waiting until first service and see what people are learning as to what gearing these machines like.

The ulmer racing trail turbo clutch kit is one of the best and that's what mpi sells on the website. people have pointed out you can load up the stock weights for a trail turbo but is not recommended.

No, you must do something with the clutching. Without the clutching you will hit the rev limiter at approximately 1/2 throttle, continued running against the rev limiter will lead to engine failure.
What he said!!!! They don't include it in the kit they allow you or your installer of the turbo to clutch it and that is additional cost. Let Ulmer do it!!!
