I have a buddy with a 2019 SRX that has been having issues with it bogging and basically going into limp mode or just shutting off altogether. In several cases he has been able to re-fire it and ride and several other cases he had to drag it out to the trailer and put it in his shop to warm up before it would start.
The local dealership cannot recreate the issue and have checked out many things stating there is nothing wrong with it.
Any suggestions on what this could be?

frozen relay or water in map sensor line. chk these first... is he below 1/2 tank and does it do it when stopping or slowing/braking??

to be sure. take relays out and dry with good heat sorce then seal with silicone... try this first, at same time disconnect sensor vacuum hose and drain or vacuum it out. if this does not wrk then your issue is fuel system.

He said it is not shutting off just bogging badly at any speed when over 1/4 throttle. it is worse when it is zero or colder out and fuel level does not matter. It does recover when he lets off throttle.
He has new fuel pump and filter, new wiring harness, checked all relays, check throttle cable adjustment, check TORS, cleaned out MAP sensor line, dried sled out in heated shop for two weeks

the problem happen only at zero degrees or lower and is intermittent at those temps

He said it is not shutting down just bogging only over 1/4 throttle when it is zero degrees or colder. Fuel level does not matter.
Stock ECU, new wiring harness, new fuel pump/filter, cleaned MAP sensor and line, and adjusted throttle cable, checked ground wires, checked/cleaned/siliconed relays.

how do you check for a bad TORS sensor? i believe there is one in the throttle block on the handle bars and another on that cam that the throttle cable rotates at the throttle bodies correct?

the tors does not make it bog after 1/4 throttle ... bog is caused by more air than fuel, you can disconnect TORS to satisfy your interest. just below guages . are you having boost leak? or if only when freezing temps, still can be relay and or water in fuel.

thanks for all the info guys. The sled belongs to a buddy so I am going to give him all the details and work with him to test everything and hopefully knock them off the list one by one until we find the issue.
