Well finally after 3 years of really wanting to head out west, I finally got the chance. I got a few questions for you boys, ill be approx 10,000 feet in Idaho. Right now my xtx 1.75 is set up for trail, skinz42 front end, mountain skis, skid is set for max transfer.
Questions
1.For off trail riding about what for pressere should I be running up front with my fox float 2s?
2. I Have big 8in dualies for trail mounted to my skis, should I take them off and put some light crap stock carbides on???
3. I know I should suck my limiter strap up but how much, and can I leave it adjusted for max transfer or not?
4. Clutching right now on trail its perfect 500-1,000 feet elevation im thinking take all weight out of the tip and set my secondary helix to boone docking, should get me close, right? My clutch set up is Schmidt bros stage 2
I will not be able to climb like the guys im going with can, but I just wanna play, any input is appreciated

For the front shocks I would start out with 65 psi. If your 42" Skinz front end still uses the sway bar, I would go ahead and put it out as this will make is easier to side hill.
The carbides probably won't make a huge difference in the powder, but you may want to move your skis in to they're narrowest setting.
With the stock XTX skid in the mountains I had good luck pulling the limiter straps up 2 holes from stock. This reduces the track approach angle and helps reduce trenching.
I'm not familar with the Schmidt bros clutch kit, but you'll want to pull some weight out for sure! You may want to call them to see what they recommend for high elevation in they're kit.
For Helixes a 43-39 or a straight 39 works well on the XTX in the mountains.

Mtn hits it all. I would just get another set of weights so you do not have to mess with them every time you want ride.
