2003 rx-1 oil consumtion problem

Im finding that every 300 miles my oil lite is coming on. It apers too burn a quart. does any boundy have this problem and is there a fix for this any help will do

do a search, you will see this has been covered a bunch of times. Seafoam, break in procedure. I think the 03's had the most problems for some reason

Some of the rx1 from 03 and 04 can burn oil because of bad piston rings. Yamaha became aware of this in 2004 and "uppgraded" this on the 05 models. Same piston on 03-04-05 but "new" piston rings on the 05model.
