Just picked up 03 RX1 last night, only 77 miles on it.
Are there any updates or mods I should look at getting on it right away?
Any info will be helpful, new to the 4stroke family of sleds.
I read that the skid plate is a must ASAP?

Straight rate springs, thicker sway bar, longer links are a must.
Ripsaw track, Simmons Skis, 2" riser and seat retro make it a much better and more comfortable ride.
Lot more but those are the basics before you ride and see for yourself whay else you need/want.

Yamaha missed the front roll stiffnes calibrations by a bunch. You can ride it without the spring/bad/link mods but it is tippy. With any halfway brisk cornering the sled leans to the outside of a corner
go with what Greenmachine said, Other than that, hand warmer fix.

Ah yes. My handwarmer fix.
Here's a link to the writeup by Spray25:

Note that I would set the timer to the 10sec interval rather than the minute, then you can choose what bar to start on rather than just turning them completely off.
