Hey Guys,
On two recent ventures out I have blown a belt on each trip.
Has anyone had similar issues? The sled has worked perfect up to now.
>2004 RX Warrior.
>6500 miles on the sled.
>Just installed new track for this season.
>Both belts were Yamaha OEM.
Any help is very much appreciated!!
Thanks

The clutches have never been rebuilt.
They have been cleaned before but not very thoroughly.

I just rebuilt my primary and secondary at 12kmiles... what a differnce. just unreal, and they werent too bad, but I am not a hole shot guy... long squeeze. I also wash my primary in the dishwasher once a year, blow them out and scotch brite the sheeves. a must that a lot of people overlook.

Did you wash and dry the belts before installing them? They have a coating on them from the factory to prevent mold (I think it is) from forming which should be removed before using. Also, did you break the belts in or just run the *&^% out of them?
As somebody already mentioned they will usually only blow due to excess heat........something is causing the belt to slip thus building up heat..........
