2005 RX1 chain case part identification question

I pulled my chain case apart a couple months age to istall a cat skid and new track. I was putting it back together today and have a spacer I don't remember where it goes. It has a oring on the inside ofthe spacer, and you can see that it sets iinside a seal on the outside diameter. It fits perfectly where #9 spacer goes in the diagram, but the correct specer has a set screw.

That collar goes onto end of driveshaft. It typically stays put on the shaft when you remove the drivers. The lower chaincase seal seats up on that spacer.

So the drivers have to come back out to install?

I'm not sure where you guys are getting your numbers, but it is the shaft seal on the back side of the chain case. There is one on the jack shaft and one on the drive shaft. In the drawings, they show the o-ring as a separate part. Use the Yamaha Parts finder up on top of the page.

I lost a brand new bearing last year due to that spacer falling in my oil catch and not reinstalling it. Great catch!

I did not see it fall off and it seems to be pretty tight with the oring so not sure how it happened.
