I'm not sure how many people are from the western ny area, but i think we should get some people together and do a ride out this way we have some really great trails (if we get snow). Thinking maybe the bliss, arcade or java area we could get a real good ride in. Just looking for thoughts or if it has been brought up before? let me know what you guys think.

Great idea bigcountry...I am in for sure. I have noticed quite a few of us here on the forum from WNY and the Chautauqua lake area. I am thinking we should be able to have a nice turnout if something is planned. It is good riding down here(Chautauqua Lake area) as well. I trailered up towards your way last season and met up with a group at Byrnecliff(Golf course) in Warsaw. That was a pretty good ride...would have been alot better if it were for more snow. I guess wait and see how many reply to your post...then see if something can come of it.

As I am unfamiliar with the locations you listed it sounds like fun.
I can get us from Chautauqua county up to Erie through Cat county. It's been a few years but still do able. Sounds like an over niter!!

yea i would defintly like to get something going even if its just the thoughts if would be nice to get a bunch of people and go have some fun, especially if our area gets some snow i would absoluty make it an overnighter!! mchimera we should get together this winter!!

Sounds good bigcountry...I will never turn down a snowmobile ride. This post has had a good turnout in the short time it has been up and I am sure the NY/PA/OH guys will keep on responding. That would be nice to get a good turnout...I have alot of questions about my Apex(first Yamaha--4-stroke) and it would be great to meet some guys with the same sled to help me out. When a date/location is planned...a couple things we all should think about. First being...if its a large group, parking will be a concern. Like I mentioned before...I went up to Warsaw(Byrnecliff) last year and although plenty of parking...it was a complete mob scene up there. We got there at 8am and parking wasnt a problem at 8am but if we were to get there at lets say noon...parking would have been a problem for a large group. I will throw out an idea for a place...we have a State Park down here in Chautauqua County called Long Point State Park. Long Point sits right on the water(17 mile lake...we can get some good lake runs in.lol) and links up to the main trail system for Chautauqua County. It also has a huge parking lot with very little traffic. They have open chalets/pivilions(sp.?) with grills etc. Also, about 5-10 minutes from the State Park are a couple of good hotels for people driving a long distance to spend the night. I know these trails pretty well around here as well. Anybody else with some ideas...feel free to comment.bigcountry said:

yea that sounds great, we could do the same thing right in Mt. Morris plenty of parking at letchworth state park, hotels and it connects into everything out your way i'm almost positive!! absolutly sounds like a great idea though. anyone have any other ideas or input??
I'm game for either. I've ridden from Long Point to Letchworth (I used to live next to Long Point). The snow will usually be better in Chautauqua County, we just get more lake effect down here.

Yeah, letchworth was only open once last year.... Awesome views when it does open, but I'm from that area originally... If you go that way, I could help with hotel names, resturants, etc...

yea i live right in mt.morris and we can ride from my door way we go up to the byrncliff, bliss arcade java are. the snow in Letchworth was minimal last year but the one weekend it was open was awesome, their arn't to many better views than letchworth in this area.
