Hello I was wondering if some of you hardcore Apex guys could tell me what some of the differences or upgrades from yamaha have been over the years with the Apex, and was there a peak year?

I think an 09 or 2010 was a good year due to rear cooler and upgrades in the suspension. But any of those years are a good sled. You could add on the cooler and upgrade the suspension for short change if your handy.

To me, I think the biggest improvement came in 2011 when they added power steering and EXUP( exhaust ultimate power valve) which gave the sled more power. The power steering makes it so much better then the 2006 & 2007 Apex's I had.

What year did they go from the Mono-1 to Mono-2 rear suspension?
I believe Viper Dave might have stated it sometime ago, but I forget now.

2010, specs for that year said mono 2 rear. It was still a 121.

The 2010 Apex has the new front suspension also. I talked to a guy last year that had a 10 and he was all impressed how the skis stayed planted compared to his 07. The 10 had the same spindles as my 11. The 2010 Apex had lots of updates.

Was it 2010 and up that had grease zerks on the front a-arms

was there much difference in the 07 Attak , from the 06?, and then to the 08 Apex LTX?

06 is a good machine as 07 08. I'd stick ot 07 and up. I just bought a 800 mile 07 Attak for 5600 and it's worth the money.

I own a 2010 Apex LTX GT and this what upgrades came that year, Have the Mono 2 rear suspension, Front geometre was updated, Grease zerks updated on front arms, idlear wheels withe replaceable bearings, handwarmers actually work... That's what I can think of ? ;)!

I know my wifes vector ltx has fully clipped track with extrovert drivers on her 2010.

I will not buy another Apex unless it is a newer model with EPS. They are that much better!

I cant belive more guys have not invested in a new rear suspension.....I did everything to get my 07 rtx to work with the stock skid .... Tossed it for a new M-10 air and have never been happier. If there was not a option like that I would have sold the sled and jumped ship. I know some of the newer/ differnt models ride better but most dont know what they are missing. Also put USI skis and studboy shapper bars on .... big improvment.

Cant please them all, I just went over the 12,000 mile marker this season with my stock suspension 07 RTX. Couldn't be happier with it.

Glad your happy..... Not good enough for me though. One of the worst skids I have ever owned. 40 years of riding and too many sleds to list.... Gave it two years of work and had the shocks in some of the best hands in the bis valve them from one end to the other...different spring rates.. broken swing arms( and I ride like an old man next to my younger years) poor bushing life... Infact was told buy many(shock company's) to put a better skid in it after what they saw and felt. It was the ONLY thing to me wrong with the sled,I love my yamaha with The M-10 air and cant believe the difference it made. Got a extra pro-action skid (complete) for ya if you ever need parts...Its collecting dust somewhere around here!
