2006 Attak - Will not start - HEEEEEELLLPPPP Please!

AND NOW THE REST OF THE STORY...
Many of you were correct - I have to order a new stator. But, I also need to order the rotor cover gasket. I've been all over the micro-fiche and cannot for the life of me find the rotor cover. Anyone know what the gasket part number might be? Thanks.

Thanks for filling us in. So many leave us hanging on what the outcome was.

Must be something in the air as mine will not start either. Turn key on, hear fuel pump come on, turn key to start and it just cranks no fire at all. No codes either. Mine is a 2007 Attak.

Well, I found the stator as low as $238 plus shipping, but it had to be ordered so I kept calling. I found one in stock at one dealer in Michigan but I thought the gasket would be the deal breaker - but as luck would have it he had that in-stock too! Ended up at $303 for the stator and the cover gasket shipped to my door, so I thought that was a good deal with no waiting for days. He said regular UPS should have it here tomorrow.

THKSNOW, word to the wise , make sure when you go to put the engine side cover back on that your hands and cover are dry and oil free cause the magnet will pull the cover right out of your hands. Yours truly Code 12 blues

Magnet strength is surprisingly strong. Good point to make. When I took my cover off I thought there was a spring holding on at first. :drink:

THANKS TO ALL WHO RESPONDED TO MY POST! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Sled is all done, running fine and ready to go north :sled1:
