Hey there...removed right hand side panel to replace parking brake cable and now I can't seem to get the panel back on properly. All the screws fit right and it is in the right place but I can't seem to get the knob in the hole. What the heck am I missing? Thanks.

I sometimes use a little floor jack under the panel to lift it up and add some pressure. The screws don't seem to line up perfectly until I do that.

That knob is supposed to push into a rubber grommet, but often just bends when trying to get it thru. You will notice that the support neck for the knob end is hollow on one side, so it easily just bends over. So I filled mine with epoxy glue. Once set, it is now much stiffer. A little silicone grease on the grommet, and the panel now pops right into place, once you get everything lined properly.

Just add a little grease to the grommet and it'll push in with little effort. I've seen a lot of these broke off from trying to force it in dry and bending it over.
