2007 Apex GT Track Clips Problem

track clips

Lost all mine on an extended trip where in a total of 150 miles all the clips were gone, I was told that the front plastic end caps on each suspension rail would cause the clips to fly off if the caps were loose, which mine were, the cap has a rivet holding it on and I replaces the rivet with a SS bolt and nylock nut and replaced all the clips and haven't had a problem since, sled had 4000 miles when all the clips departed and now has about 4700 miles.

Your not alone, my 06 gt has around 4500 miles on it and there isnt a single clip left, looked into reclipping it myself but with the price of the tool i am almost better off getting a new track. i would like a fully clipped track anyway. every third was a stupid idea imo

sorry for posts on the same topic tonight... but......
what tool do you guys use to repalce the clips. I have a 06apex er
the pliers tool I borrowed was too wide to get in the window.

thanks

My 06 attak with 6000 miles has been throwing clips here and there for a few thousand miles now. They are starting to wear thin. The main culpret is the washer on the inside of the front pivot arm mount. They run dangerously close to the track clips on both sides. I'm talking about 1/8 inch or less on both sides. I noticed my clips were all gouged up and so were the washers on the pivot arm mount. Take down the washers and the guides on each clip with a grinder and bingo. Problem gone.
