It seems my tail is sliding around alot and i'm not hooking up like i should.how much affect will the limiter straps
have on this problem? should i run them loose or pull them up a hole?
i have weight transfer a little back,pilot skies,blocks on medium,front skid
shock tightened just enough to put a little tension on it 50 lbs in front shocks
a-arms level.no studs
Thanx guyZ

Is your steering heavy? Hows your ski alignment? What hole are your limiters in and how much do you weight? There can be more than one problem here. My limiters are all the way out with basicly your same front/rear shock set-up. Skis are set at 1/4" toe out. Torsions on soft and tranfer nuts right down. Front shocks at 70. I am 220 lbs and easliy bottom this skid with this set-up riding any bit aggressive on bumps. On the flip side I can rail around corners and hook up rather well. Your sled must be out of balance for your wieght or perhaps skii alignment way out wack causing excessive drag. When I bought my sled used it was 9/16 toe each side???? yeh unbelievably bad. Back to topic though, with your limiter all the way out you may need to increase you air pressure bit by bit until you no longer "push" in the corners. You will find this will also help with broken limiter issue. Never decrease your suspension travel unless your drag racing!!!

What size carbides are you running on your pilots? Possibly too much carbide without having studs...

steering is good i'm about 240 geared up,the skis i lined up with the track and toed 1/4 I have to check but i think mu straps are up 1 .would that cause the light @ss? I noticed at the end of the year last year when i took my buddies doo for a ride, comared to his my @ss was all over.but
he always complained his arms were hurting after a long ride, basically the
doos front end sux.mine was much better.I wasnt darting it just seemed
the @ss was light and it didnt seem to be hooking up really good.

they are the stock pilot ski carbides i forget how long they are but
the front end seems fine just a little darty in certain snow.

Yup! It not so much you have a light #*$&@ as much as you have a heavy front end. Too much maybe?
Probably a combination of the Pilots and the pulled up limiter strap. That's my guess anyway. FWIW

Short track.... my RTX's @ss twitches all the time, compaired to the 40th LTX... frankly will not buy another short track.. and if i do its getting stretched... I've played with skis, shocks revalved, everyhting... but with the weight of these things the short track always seems to have the @ss wiggle above 70mph... i've just gotten used to it.

i am having trouble hooking up as well. i have had the sled for 3 years now and have noticed with any loose snow at all i am done when it comes to hanging with other apex's and a couple of ski doos..... i have fox's at 45 lbs, straps at stock position, centre shock cranked up pretty good, full transfer and rear spring at medium. have played with the straps and doesn't seem to matter, i can steer through anything but wondering if having my rear front shock cranked up would do this???? input would be really nice.

It's that fricken Ripsaw track that killin you. They are absolutely useless trying to accelerate in anything resembling loose snow. Junk.... For more info on that, look into what the guys running Cobra and Predator tracks are saying.
