Hey guys, im looking for some help here, I purchased a 2007 yamaha phazer fx with around 5500km I rode it this season and have had it sitting in the shop now for the summer.....and noticed its dripping what seemed to be chain case fluid??? I don't know if this is a common problem with the 2007's considering it is
the first year? or even if it is chain case fluid thanks.
another question is in deep powder it seemed to overheat very easily as the rad gets plugged up with ice buildup, am i able to get a fan for the rad?? because in 2007 they did not come with fans installed. (has an mbrp installed) not sure if the aftermarket pipe is causing that overheating....
any help on how much to fix this or how to fix it would be greatly appreciated!
I have provided a pic for visual viewing of this issue.

Some did not come with the fan that year. The ability to add one easily depends on what wiring harness you have. If you look on the large wire bundle going up near the radiator, if you see a two prong connector, then it's just a plug and play affair. If not, then you either have to replace your entire wiring harness or wire it another way with a switch to run it manually. BTW, I have one for sale if you're interested.
For the oil leak, this thread is really good with a possible leak at the reverse gear oil feed tube with a new part number to fix it.

Or it could just be the shaft seal.

If it is the tube and grommet, it's fairly easy and cheap. Axle seal will require pulling the drive shaft.
Just shoot me a PM for the fan.

Here is what the rad and wire are looking like in the sled. Hopefully the fan will work in this one.
the GT and FX model have the wiring harness not the base model

Do you know if i can get a discounted fan from anywhere?..... yamaha's price brand new on one is like it $200 I was thinking it would be a cheaper part due to its size and purpose.
You can install any fan you like as long as it fits on the rad

You're golden, you have the plug for the fan. Now just need to find one!
Found this thread that has info you're looking for

Don't know if it's the left or right one from an R1 that would work but either way, you will have some fabbing to do. Later year ones look just like the Phazers but you should contact the seller and ask the size of the fan. It should be no more than 5 1/2". There are lots on eBay.
Unfortunately, I sold mine a while back and forgot.
