Wondering what to do?? Linkage broke on 07 phazer fx. My 120 pound son, mostly trail rides it. Went to the dealer owner and says he never heard of any linkage problems. Asked warrenty manager at the dealer and she`s never heard of it and the yamaha mechanic has never heard of it.
I did find out that there is an actual linkage update kit available. and they didn`t know about that either. They have pics and they are going to check with the regional warrenty rep. can anyone give me any names, numbers or advice on what to do next. winter is winding down. any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like 1 of the dealers around me. Some know and some don't. They should know about it. Seems like its a common problem with some of the 07's. I need to check mine over good. It's a std. and I have launched it a few times and can't really tell if its bent or not. Good luck

it doesn't bend, it breaks, and you will know as it will bounce bad - i broke mine about 30 miles out and had to stand up most of the way home. I put 2500 miles on mine after it was changed out.

Thats a really good deal Woolyviper is giving you.

This is a recall. Dealer will do it for free.

Thanks for all of the help guys. I had to keep contacting the dealer almost every day and after about a week they figured out that the parts are covered under warrenty. the parts that they replace the older broken parts with are very nice
