Went to Canada this week and notice the warning light for the temp. was on. Is there an aftermarket digital temp. gauge for this sled to tell me what the temp is at. Once we got off the hard pack trails and up in the mountains it never came back on.

TEMP
I have the same sled needed to install a extra rear read and that cleared the problem. The temp light comes on a 210 degree. You can splice the hose at the entrence of the termostat with a T type pipe and install any auto type gauge in the dash. Hope that help you some,if you have any other question just ask.

Not exactly on subject but add some waterweter to the coolant and drop your temp a few deg also.

overheat
i put waterwetter and drained coolant this summer and put in 50/50 in hopes of not havin to put on the rear cooler but second time out this year the light kept coming on. i would stop and pack the runningh boards with snow and it would go out shortly after but i am now in the process of installing the rear cooler.
hope it cures the problem

trails
helmic how are the trails around bathurst. i heard they were all closed because the trees are all weighted down with ice and snow.

Try ice scratchers ! Easy fix to your problem.
Start with a 50'50 mix of antifreeze and add water wetter first. It's the easiest and cheapest way to start. Ulmers gauge is a good setup. If you still get hot add a rear heat exchanger. I did it all at once when I bought the sled and never had a light come on.

check your flap to make shure it is long enough when you are sitting so that it holds in the snow for cooling . also ice scratchers are good , also check cooliant mix , the more antifreeze you put in the easy,,,, it is to overheat . check with a dealer for ratio , it might be 60 to 40
