Well I'm itching to go, but I'm in a good new, bad news quandry. The good news is that I'm moving back to New York this winter! Yeah!! The bad news is I've been out of work since the end of September and I've been on a lot of interviews trying to get back to work! So far no luck, but I have 2 more extremely promising interviews in the next week and should get an offer from one of them. So I'll most likely either be living in the Elmira area or up near Oneonta. The problem then will be trying to arrange a little time off so soon after starting to go on either of these rides. Worst case is I ride just one day on one of the weekend days. One way or the other I'll be there.

Count me in. And might I say, why not plan on both rides?...First one being Jan 20-24, for those who can make it. And a second TY ride the end of February, as BBW mentioned. I know Boston RX1 will be coming down for the 2nd ride, definitely. Count me in for both.
Just let me know where we plan to base the rides out of. Can base the first ride out of Tug Hill (Montague) and base the second ride out further south (Barneveld/Mapledale) area, which worked out well one year. I spoke to the guy at Hudon's equipment and they just opened up a new motel on Rt 12, supposed to be alittle nicer than the last motel we stayed in (Buduget Inn in Mapledale). Just throwing ideas out there, so open for suggestion.

I'm in for the second of the two. I have freakin inventory the other weekend. Mandatory- no getting out- unless I don't want a job.
I should be able to make the second ride other than Mar.1. Our club is having a charity barbecue that day so I will be riding to it and helping out. Maybe I'll ride the sled north and meet up with everyone for that second get together.

Thanks Honk. My bad. I knew it was a Sun-Thurs. Must be all the chowda' has gone right to my head!! I am definitely in for both rides. Looking forward to riding with everybody again. Should be a blast!
So let's dedicate this thread to the ride Jan 20-24 and we can create a new thread for the ride in the end of February. That way places and dates dont get mixed up.
So Montague Inn it is, or at least our departure point on all 5 days for the ride Jan 20-24th? 9am or 10am departure times seems good to me.
As we get closer we can work out the finer details (times, plans, and destinations)but seems like we have a rough plan to work with.

Well it looks like I'll be able to come to the first ride, so my first question is are we actually planning on riding on Sunday or is that arrival day? I've never been a big fan of riding on the hill on Sunday and seeing as this is about a 5-6 hour trip, I'll probably get up there Sunday afternoon anyway.
Second question is who wants to share a room?

I will be up there early, like Saturday, so if you can come Sunday or Monday either way is good to go. Ya probally can't get into your room untill mid afternoon, so maybe sunday nite we could ride to supper? Then start the rides on Monday mornin? I don't know? All depends on what everyone time frame is. either day is ok with me.
