So I am looking for opinions right now. I have a 2008 Mtx 153 with upgrades of course. I have Timbersled skid, Cat challenger track, Avids, Betterboards, Floats up front, Oft Steering relocate and Roest skid plate.

So would I be better off adding say the Mcx 180 kit or maybe the MPI turbo and the skinz front or upgrade to a 2013 162 with 180 kit??

Easier to make payment then spend 6k.

Skinz front end and mcx 180 kit. Thats the only things missing on that sled.

My riding buddy has that exact same sled with your mods + the skinz front end and mcx 180 kit. It works great ;)!

If you got the money then go for it, i promise you wont regret it.

I got the Skinz front end and love it. I would have to say my on and your 08 are set up about the same. Except for the track. I have a Challenger Extreme.

I would go for the Skinz and the MCX kit.

That Kit is next on my bucket list.

If you can swing the mcx I say without a doubt get it!!!
I know anchorage yamaha will be offering boosted sleds(mpi) setup with boards, tethers and rider forward kits, and available with powdercoated tunnels if requested. I know this because I will be building them all, haha. It will be a limited number for sure but something to look into and forward to, they will be nice!!!

R U sure, Just joking there my blue brother.

Mcx for next year. I gotta have it.

Andrew would love to see a guy like you walk through the door. ;)!

My vote would go with the 08 as well. I have a really hard time promoting buying a new sled with no big gains over 08's. Putting money into your existing sled will be for a top notch sled as where a new one you will end up wanting to do all the same stuff that your 08 already has. Not to mention, 08's are rockin awesome! ;)!

If you do decide to sell it I'll be more than happy to pay a less than reasonable amount for it ;):D

Good to hear about dealers like them, especially when Yamaha themselves are less than interested in giving the customers what they want...!

Regarding -08 vs -13, the -08 with a proper front end kit is for sure going to be the better handling sled. And you have already got better running boards, steering geometry and skid than you will get from the Yamaha factory...

I can get you hooked up with anything you need my friend. We are an Mcx dealer, also have the clutching nailed on these things so out of the gates you will love it. There is a member on here that just took his 180 kit out and put the smack down on his buddy that traded his nytro for a pro and I bet his buddy is regretting the switch. Ill let him chime in on that though.

It's sad Yamaha gave us nothing new for next year so it's up to us dealers to try and make the best out of what we have, hence us offering custom sleds at barely over cost. It's hard to sell something that's been out for 6 years and hasn't changed much but that's a whole nother can of worms I'm not gonna open haha.

Waiting for Yamaha to come out with something new, is like waiting for them to start building cars.

You're either on something, or on to something ;)!

Grrreat, I was just talking with Drew Dude today, now I am sooooo confused.

Oh wait, I got it.

It will be MCX for me.

we are having a fantastic snow year for sure!!! we rode 40 miles of virtually untouched snow. Great ride for sure!!! Little more power is definately in order. I have to say we drive by that putty tat dealer and their factory boost is mighty appealing not to say I think that sled is sharp. So 5g for for boost 1g for skinz and if I am going to do that a new tunnel may be in order so say 1g+ 7000.00 half of a new sled that really needs no work.

I think I have an exhaust leak I dred having to pull that trail tank.

Trail Tank installation after the removal is a pain, but using the ratchet strap method helps a whole hell of a lot.
