Does anyone have an idea if I can replace the non-rebuildable Phazer GT skid shocks with a set of GYTR style from a 2009 Nytro MTX? I have a chance to scoop a skid from a Nytro MTX for fairly cheap and want to swap them over. The part numbers are similar but not the same. Even the Phazer RTX are a slightly different number than the MTX's.

Did some heavy research and found out it's a no go. The travels are 2" different. Thanks for the views.

I just looked at Nytro and Phazer models. Never checked into Vector, Attack's or Apex's. They are pretty model orientated. I'm probably going to look for some Phazer RTX rear rebuildables. The Phazer has a 16" travel, Nytro XTX is 14.5' and MTX is 14".

You are going to need the actual travel numbers of the shocks themselves. Way back guys found them off Polarises and SkiDoos. I have the center shock from a old Viper on mine. Thing is most of these would need to be custom valved to work right even with correct Collapsed and extended lengths. My rear shock which is the one you will notice the most is a Custom Axis. One of the best investments I ever did on the Phazer.

I just went through this looking at shocks for my 07 Base. This is what I have in my notes.... Phazer center shock is 13 1/8 and the rear is 17 1/4" The 2008-2009 Yamaha Nytro RTX/FX Extended length: 13.03" Travel: 3.49"Compressed Length: 9.54" might be a little short but I've read that it will work. Rear is 16.5" which is to short.

Many of the 121" ski doo shocks fit and there are many for sale on ebay but the price of the Zero Pros new was close enough for me to go that way.
