Anyone got any info on the 2008 sleds? I mean real info, not just "Pie in the Sky" stuff. Speak-up and let the insider secrets flow.

Also, wondering if anyone knows when YAMAHA will be posting.

No I wouldn`t buy a Yamaha kids sled now as its too late,my kids are too big. When my older kid was 7 he had a Z-120 to ride for 1 1/2 yrs and then out grew it.Time for the supersized snoscoot-a Phazer!

Sled press 08 release-Secrets.
This comes up every year.Just guesses now.Why ask now when Yamaha has had their 08 sleds finalized for many months now if not more than a year or even two?If anybody knows anything they would have had the EXACT specs 6-18 months ago.People wait until they see what comes out this year and can make a decent guess at the trends for the next year and claim -see I was right.

The 03 RX-1 blindsided the other 3.I don`t believe anyone guessed that.

Anybody at Yamaha that knows anything, knows releasing any info too soon will most likely cost someone a job as it kills current year sales (millions $$$$) which as of now is probably not looking good because of the weather.
Im sure some are sworn to secrecy.

If many people on the fence have not bought by now they probably won`t this season thinking no good riding till at least mid Jan until mid Mar so its not worth it.

If past years are any indication release may be around Feb 5th or 12th.They will announce date next month.Yamaha has new things to bring to the table, just have to wait and see which they choose to release each year.If you happen to catch the test crews out somewhere your in luck.Get a quick look cause you may see their sleds in some from within 1-3 yrs.

Yes it is fun to think about what is coming and wether to buy this model year or wait and order a 08 sled preseason.
I would bet $$$ that you may see a sneak peak teaser photo towards the end of Jan or right before the official Feb release date! ;)!

My deposit is ready for a bigger Phazer! :yam:

I am willing to bet they will release a sled to compete with the Freestyle and 120`s How about a phazer chassis sno-scoot with a 125 cc or 80 cc or maybe a sno-scoot just like they had in 1988-90 Its just a matter time
IMO

Yes, I would take anything but would prefer a phazer style. My boys (3,5,and 7) pull out My Yamaha DVD's even in the summer and watch'em. talk about your Kodak moments. But it kind of sucks that they have to ride something that's green right now.

I do have 2 94' ovation LE's with less than 1,000 miles each that I think the 7 year old will start riding this year.............If we ever get any snow.

I used to get "quick glances" at what Yamaha had coming out while passing them on the trails/hills until last season. They used to do the photo shoots for the new sleds in Cooke City, MT about the same time I was doing my first of the season test and tune ride. It's tough to get anything more than that since they are quick to cover them up with tarps when you ride up on them.

I don't have this opportunity anymore because; last season they switched locations to the Snowy Mtns in WY (they switch locations every few years).

something between the 3- 120s and the phazer would be a better way to go. why come out with another 120 to compete with 3 others. why not make a model that has no competition. just a guessing game now. probably the vector will see the dbII, apex/attak unchanged, phazer unchanged, maybe something in the 100-110hp range

not for my kid. he is 19 years old and if you know him he has a rage with like 14 inch handlebar risers and he would put nos on the little thing and blow it sky high. HA HA HA

My oldest son is 13 and he is an Arctic Cat fan. Why??? Because he found out that the "Micro SRX" that I had for him was really an Arctic Cat. He won every race he was in on that little sled so he is sold out on AC.

I just think that YAMAHA has kid units in bikes and ATV's why are they falling behind on the 120 class. I know the snow scoot didn't pan out but it wasn't the right timing.

I know a lot of Blue faithfuls that would buy one up in a heartbeat and get the kids exposed to the sport in a positive way. My Dad and I worked on that little Cat more than he rode it some days.

A 3 cylinder Phazer is coming, just how big I don't know!?
They were testing last week on the Bill Nichol trail!

Only time or a lucky look will tell!

In your dreams!! :ORC I don't see Big Blue coming out with anything like that anytime soon. Just too many reliablity issues come along with something like that. That just isn't worth the bad press. Although it would be sweet.

No way they should put a 3cyl in the phaser, stupidest thing they could do.... there does the light weight, there goes the cheap price. The 2 main reasons they built them in the first place.
