Looking at a 2008 Vector for my wife and son to drive. This one has 5000 miles. Original track, starter replaced due to a seal blowing and jackshaft bearing has been replaced. Anything else I should look for or be concerned about?

I would think just regular mtce type stuff myself?
The 08 is in the Delta-2 chasis so the need to strengthen the rear skid has been taken care of already.
The 08 idlers do not have replacable bearings however.

I have an O8 Vector with 4000 trouble free miles. Most owners will have found the hand warmers useless. I put the soft Yamaha handlebar covers on mine and its a big improvement, also go with dual runner carbides and shim the skis and it will eliminate darting and it will turn when you want it to turn. The sled is has incrdible gas milege btw.
I'm guessing that it will have the same type of issues like my Attak did.Exhaust donuts, idler wheels, cold hands, poor lights. Never heard of the seal for the starter being an issue before.
If I pick this sled up ( or any other) it will get a HID treatment, YamaHeater setup, Ski/Poo idler wheels and Snowtrackers.

i have an 09 with 10 000 miles, the track still looks brand new,i have no issues with idler wheels,i grease all the wheels every year, maintenance is the key, i hear alot of complaining on various issues on here and i never seem to encounter those issues,i just changed the donuts,it had been loud for 500 miles or so,not that bad of a job,i love this sled and they are capable of high miles if taken care of
Thanks for the replies.
Pat the rat. I see you have a Phazer. How do you like that machine?

that's my wife's sled,it has 13000 miles, its a good little sled, been super reliable, doesnt burn a drop of oil,for an engine that turns over 11000 rpm,its pretty impressive, also very good on gas, about the same as my vectorsteiner said:Thanks for the replies.
