Hi everyone. Was ridin this past weekend and the yellow warning light came on and the symbol for overheating came on but no code showed up on the screen. Any ideas on where to look to fix it? Plenty of anti freeze. Thermostat maybe?

how where the snow conditions? if there was no powder, then yes it will overheat. needs some snow dust for cooling the in tunnel cooler.

Hey buddy, long time!

That happened to me too recently running on a hard packed icy trail. I just went off the trail a bit to catch some loose snow, it went out a minute later. Didn't happen again after that. Happens at least once per season. Last time was running on the frozen river.

Check to make sure your radiator is clear of snow and ice as that will cause overheating while idling. Check that the fan is running OK and the fuse is good. Add some Water Wetter to the coolant, helps a bit with heat transfer.

I had that problem a couple of years back so after putting in extra vents, someone suggested changing the coolant. I did so, and it cured the problem.

Thanks guys. Ya moose has been long time. Im on here alot but havent had any questions. The trails were hard packed n it was warm looks like it will probably be the last ride of the year. By the way tried lookin in svc manual but think the heat exchanger is misnumbered. It is rite behind the engine correct?

That's right, in the tunnel in front of the track/driveshaft.
