I am just wondering if anyone knows what the steel wire in the end of the flywheel bolt does? I am working on a 2009 Nytro Mtx with a mountain performance supercharger kit. The sled threw a rod out of the block with only 1200 miles. It was only on 4 lbs of boost so I don't think this was an issue. I am changing the engine and swaping the supercharger drive and the wire was not in the end of the bolt like the replacement motor I got. Any info would be great thanks

Never had a nytro motor apart but on the apex we have it had one too that I removed when adding a blower. Appears that it’s an oil slinger to help splash things around in there. Doesn’t really need to be there and they didn’t have them in the newer motors
